Teacher's New to Catholic School PD
We went to a PD day where we learnt about teachers being new to Catholic Schools. This was a super useful day. Margaret and Brenden who led the course were fantastic and very approachable. I was a little nervous about not being Catholic. Margaret made a point that it is easy to get caught up in the local traditions of church, but we need to keep in mind the big traditions of being Catholic. This hit home with me as I was nervous about remembering the "sayings" however, my understanding of the values and history are getting quite good. We had a tour of the church and learnt about how to plan and teach daily prayer.
