Te Roopu Ārahi Website

We created this website as a way to share resources and information to our students and whānau. Communication is key and if we provide a platform that akōnga and whānau can keep up to date with events and calendars and a place where newsletters are saved, this will ensure that we all know what is going on.

The website is also used as a platform to share resources to support learning. Akōnga can go here to practise skills, review new learning or as a way to get a head in their learning. As teachers we are moving away from being the key knowledge holders and giving control to our students.

The website is ever evolving and our students and whānau are beginning to use it more, and are finding it useful. We just need to encourage them to continue to check it and for us to make sure we are regularly updating it.

Term 1 Reflection

Collaborative Writing Planning

Every second week we discuss our target students. we each choose one target student from our Kaitiaki. This is one way that we demonstrate accountability for all students in our team.

Staff Meeting week 2

Shared achievement goals and Annual Goals with the staff.  Great discussion already on how to meet these goals. Its going to be a great year.
