Activities to Try:
Spelling words, making shapes with bodies, pattern ball, telling time with cones, orienteering is a great link between movement and mathematical thinking. (spatial awareness, angles, positioning, time, mapping, directions, symbols etc), Skip counting using volley-ing - multiple teams that are competing,
Using the sense in literacy - experiential learning, building, make it real, make it authentic
Use the environment around us to connect tamariki to it.
Challenge: How can you integrate HPE throughout the wider curriculum?
- basic facts games, coding and instructions, shuttle runs for structure of paragraph, create sounds, movement etc of what they hear, see, etc.
